It has taken quite some time, but we finally have clarity on the senior competition structure for the new season!
Following the disappearance of the CEHL, the RBIHF faced the challenge of creating a new, fully-fledged competition in which the former CEHL teams could also be properly integrated. The new structure is now in place.
🦈 Sharks Mechelen in Division 1
Division 1 will be the highest level of competition, with 11 teams competing for the Belgian Cup and the Cup of Belgium.
Our former Golden Sharks, now Sharks Mechelen, will compete at this level. The team will be led by Head Coach Danny Gyesbreghs, assisted by Player/Assistant Coach Vadim Gyesbreghs.
🔥 Future Sharks in Division 2
Division 2 will be a checking competition. With the former CEHL teams joining Division 1, several clubs have also decided to enter their Future Team in Division 2.
Our Future Sharks will also take their place in this strong and challenging competition.
💪 Division 3 & Division 4
Our current Division 2 team will move up to Division 3, the first non-checking division.
Our Division 4 team will remain active in Division 4 and can continue building towards a great season.
